PROGRESS OF WORKS

March 2014

  • Traffic arrangements (Phase B’) were implemented in district A’ of Piraeus Municipality (Piraiki area), while the reinstatement of traffic islands, stripings etc. is in progress;
  • The delimitation of individual worksite areas is in progress, while the following works are about to commence, namely the configuration of Lambraki Ave. U-turn, of sidewalks at Lambraki Ave. and of the area where Karaiskaki Tramway stop shall be constructed;
  • The works for the relocation of trolley-bus lines (lines 16 and 17) are at the completion phase, while the works for the relocation of trolley-bus line 20 and of all trolley-bus lines outside the Piraeus Tramway extension path are scheduled to commence immediately;
  • Works have been completed at Elliniko Tramway Depot building installations, the E/M installations are at the testing phase in building 2, while the works for the re-arrangement of building 1 room areas are in progress;
  • In the children playground area at Rizarios – Palaio Faliro, the WC buildings, the construction of the landplot fencing and the configuration of the surrounding area are at the completion phase.

  • Traffic arrangements were implemented in the central district of Piraeus Municipality;
  • The works for the relocation of trolley-bus lines (lines 16, 17 and 20) outside the Piraeus Tramway extension path are in progress;
  • In building 2 of the of Elliniko Tramway Depot building installations, the works related to its architectural finishes have been completed and the E/M installations are at the completion and testing phase, while the works for the re-arrangement of building 1 room areas are in progress;
  • In the children playground area at Rizarios – Palaio Faliro, the bearing structure and the brick structure have been completed, the architectural finishing works in the WC buildings are in progress, while the works for the construction of the landplot fencing and the configuration of the surrounding area are in progress.
