Temporary Traffic Arrangements along Vouliagmenis Avenue
Within the framework of the execution of works related to the construction of the underground passageway that will connect the second entrance/exit of ILIOUPOLI Station with the first level of the station, the following temporary traffic arrangements will be implemented as of Monday August 31st 2009 along Vouliagmenis Avenue:
1.The three traffic lanes of Vouliagmenis Avenue towards Glyfada will be reduced to two, through the gradual occupation of a 200m long portion of the said lanes at the intersection of Vouliagmenis Avenue with Pyrronos Street, as follows:
PHASE A: Occupation of the right lane. Duration: 1-2 weeks, all around the clock.
PHASE Β: Occupation of the middle lane. Duration: 3- 5 days (from 07:00 to 17:00).
PHASE C: Occupation of the left lane. Duration: 3-5 days (from 07:00 to 17:00).
At the same time, the three traffic lanes in Pyrronos Street will be reduced to two, through the occupation of a portion of the left traffic lane, past the existing worksite entrance/exit.
2. The three inbound traffic lanes of Vouliagmenis will be reduced to two, through the gradual occupation of the said lanes at a 200m long portion, along Vouliagmenis Avenue where it intersects with Pyrronos Street, as follows:
PHASE D: Occupation of the left lane. Duration: 3- 5 days (from 07:00 to 17:00).
PHASE E: Occupation of the middle lane. Duration: 3- 5 days (from 07:00 to 17:00).
PHASE F: Occupation of the right lane. Duration: 3- 5 days (from 07:00 to 17:00).
3. Reducing the speed limit to 50 km/hour on both directions of Vouliagmenis Avenue, approximately 200m. before its intersection with Pyrronos Street and up to the end of the area where works are executed.
