PROGRESS OF WORKS FOR 2010

December 2010	The Ticket Validators Cancellators (TVCs) have been installed at the two Stations. The works for the redevelopment of Demokratias Square have been completed. The reconfigured Square extends over a surface of 9,000 square meters and is embellished with the art work of artist Mr. Moustakas. The works for the reinstatement of Loutron Square and the construction of a sculpture by artist Varotsos are in progress.
November 2010	The works for the installation of the Ticket Validators at the two stations have commenced, while the installation of the lighting fixtures is in progress. The art work by sculptor E. Moustakas at Dimokratias Square has been completed. The works for the creation of the art work by sculptor K. Varotsos at Loutron Square have commenced.
October 2010	The installation of the electromechanical systems is in progress. The reinstatement of Dimokratias Square and the adjacent streets is at its completion stage. The installation of the lighting fixtures in both Stations has commenced. The installation of the fire-rated glass panes in the public areas of ANTHOUPOLI Station has been completed, while the installation of the glass panes in the ticketing offices and the Station Master Room has commenced.
September 2010	The works for the reconfiguration of Dimokratias Square continue at a rapid pace. The works for the installation of the lifts at the two Stations has commenced. The construction of the Emergency Units has been completed.
August 2010	The cabling installation works for the lighting, telecommunication systems, the loudspeakers and cameras in the two stations, as well as the works for the construction of the crossovers are being continued. The works for the reinstatement of Dimokratias Square and the surrounding streets are being continued. The works for the installation of the fire-rated glass panes in the public areas of Anthoupoli Station have commenced. The works for the installation of glass panes at the station lifts are being continued.
July 2010	The construction of the new rain water network in the entrances’ area of ANTHOUPOLI Station has been completed. The works for restoring vehicular traffic and bringing it back to its initial condition in the wider area of ANTHOUPOLI Station have been completed. The works for the reinstatement of Dimokratias Square (also known as Dimarchiou Square) have commenced.
June 2010	The installation of cables intended for the lighting and telecommunications systems, the loudspeakers and cameras in both Stations is in progress. The works for manufacturing the track turnouts have commenced. The construction of a new rainwater inlet network in the area of ANTHOUPOLI Station entrances, intended for the flood-protection of the Station and the improvement of the passengers’ access, is in progress. The works for the installation of the PPC power supply of ANTHOUPOLI Station have been completed.
May 2010	The installation of glass panes in the lifts and in Thivon Street underground passage, at ANTHOUPOLI Station, has commenced. The reinstatement works at street level at ANTHOUPOLI Station are in progress. The works for the installation of cables intended for the lighting, telecommunications, loudspeakers and camera systems in stations are being continued.
Αpril 2010	The installation of cabling, lighting systems, tecommunication systems, loud speakers and cameras at both Stations are in progress. The reinstatement of the square at the Terminal shaft between among Anapafseos, Ag. Kyrikou and Adanon Streets was completed. Street level reinstatement commenced at ANTHOUPOLI Station.
March 2010	The installation of the large glass vault in Demokratias Square was completed (at PERISTERI Station). Works related to the installation of granites on the floors and on the walls is at a completion phase. The construction of stainless steel elements at both stations is in progress. The installation of lighting systems at the areas of both Station is still under way.
February 2010	The installation of lighting systems at the areas of both Station commenced. The installation of the metal structural frame of the large glass vault in Demokratias Square commenced (PERISTERI Station). The redevelopment of the square in the area of the Terminal Shaft at Anthoupoli between Anapafseos, Ag.Kyrikou and Adanon Streets commenced.
January 2010	Works related to the installation of electromechanical equipment and networks at both Stations are in progress. The installation of lifts at both Stations is in progress. The installation of the large glass vault at Demokratias square (PERISTERI Station) is in progress.
