Commencement of the Training Program “The Metro in our City”
ATTIKO METRO S.A. invites you to the Children’s Museum of Thessaloniki on Saturday, November 10th 2018, at 10:30, to attend the commencement of the training program “The Metro in our City”.
This program is an experiential training program that will give our little friends a tour of the Metro underground routes, will help them understand the Metro system structure and construction method, and finally realize the usefulness of this new transportation mode of our city.
In view of the above, the Chairman of ATTIKO METRO S.A., Mr. Yannis Mylopoulos, stated:
“Now that the Metro Project is on track and, for the first time, is nearing its completion (from 37% to 67% completed in just 2.5 years), the time has come for ATTIKO METRO S.A. to look ahead.
Thus, with an eye to the future, ATTIKO METRO S.A. turns to the future passengers of Thessaloniki Metro, today’s pupils, and introduces them, through this training program, to the design of Metro projects and the construction of underground projects and familiarizes them with the use of a state-of-the-art, underground Metropolitan Railway.
Thousands of children will attend this program and will become the best ambassadors of a Project that will be soon commissioned in Thessaloniki and will drastically change the everyday life of the city and its residents”.
