THESSALONIKI METRO – The Thessaloniki Metro Project Department informs the shop owners at Analipsi Area

The Thessaloniki Metro Project Department, in the framework of its cooperation with the various local agencies, responded to the request of the Management of the Thessaloniki Chamber of Professionals and informed them on the progress of works for the construction of ANALIPSI Station.

The Manager of Thessaloniki Metro Project Mr. George Konstantinidis, accompanied by the Chairman and Vice Chairman of the Thessaloniki Chamber of Professionals Messrs. Michael Zorpidis and George Iliadis, visited the worksite of ANALIPSI Station and pointed out that the funding of the Project is secured and that all complex technical problems, such as the problems concerning this specific station, have been resolved. It has been also stressed that the construction works were not progressing at a fast pace, mainly due to the financing difficulties addressed by the Contracting Joint Venture.

A traffic study has been prepared and shall be implemented immediately upon its approval by the Services concerned, while it shall improve the traffic conditions in the area extending between FLEMING and PATRIKIOU Stations, in particular ANALIPSI Station area. Moreover, in the following days, all scheduled works related to the limitation of the worksite occupation at the section between M. Botsari and Hatzilazarou streets shall be completed.

During the information provided to the shop owners of Analipsi area, held in the past in ATTIKO METRO premises, the Manager of Thessaloniki Metro presented in detail the prevailing conditions of the Project and the conditions in the said area.

It was stressed that the requests set by the Thessaloniki Chamber of Professionals concerning tax relief and any other type of financial support fall outside ATTIKO METRO’s field of responsibilities and should be submitted to the competent Agencies.
